Judy Kentrus has a Boxed Set for You
I am thrilled to welcome back romance author Judy Kentrus. She has a book coming out in a boxed set, she wants to tell us about along with more about her author life.
Welcome Judy, tell us a little about yourself.
Being a romantic at heart, I write a variety of romance genre: contemporary, romantic suspense, seasoned, and historical. I live in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania, only a few miles from the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. I married my high school sweetheart and after raising our two wonderful children, I followed my dream to publish my books. My stories are fun, sexy romances that will make you laugh, cry, and fall in love.
I love writing books with characters who are “mature and seasoned.” Women and men who have put off romance to pursue careers. They might be divorced or widowed. They know what true love is having loved and lost or they are looking for true love that will last: second and third chance love. They’ve become empty nesters and have to make sure they keep their love alive. The scenarios are fun and challenging. In my book, Taste of Summer, my secondary couple is 80 and 82! They steal the show.
What are some of your favorite things? Foods, Flowers, Books, Whatever
When I’m not at my computer giving couples their happily-ever-after, you can find me in the kitchen, baking. I’ve been dubbed the cookie queen by my family and friends. I make cookies all year round, but at Christmas, I make fifteen different kinds of cookies and put together plates of cookies as gifts. I also post recipes on my website.
Do your travels influence your writing?
We owned a motorhome and traveled all around the country. We visited all but 5 states. Our adventures include ten cruises that took us to Hawaii, Alaska and through the Panama Canal. As a result, our travels have had a great deal of influence in my books. Frozen Hearts, takes place in Alaska. My Vanderbilt beach series, brings you to Naples, Florida.
How much research do you do for each book you write?
I’m a stickler for detail, so I do a great deal of research that includes the education needed for a particular profession. It’s important that you know what you’re talking about. Readers are very smart and will let you know if something that you’ve written is not correct. In A Timeless Kiss, I have a Forensic Odontologist, a forensic expert who examines the teeth of a dead person to determine their identity. I interviewed a US Park Ranger for my park ranger series and an overland truck driver for Tea in Time. I just did a phone interview with a firefighter.
Can you tell us about any other upcoming books, series, writing plans?
My latest release is in “A Season for Love” box set.All of the stories are about couples in their 40’s, 50’s, and older. My book is “One More Night.”
In July, I’ve got a book in the Summer Vacation Series. “Unsung Hero” takes place in Mt. Rushmore. This was a fun book to write since I’ve visited Mt. Rushmore. My heroine has to convince my hero it’s okay to call oneself a “hero,’ even if he thinks he was only serving his country.
In September, I’ve got another fun book in the Last Man Standing Series. “Guy.” All the books in this series have the title of the hero. These “guys” have avoided the old, ball and chain, for various reasons…but our heroines are out to change their minds.
In December, I’ve got a book in The Dickens Series. “The Bells of St. Dickens.” My heroine has a secret identity…Mrs. Claus. No, not really. She does on-line visits to children, portraying Mrs. Claus. She wants to raise money to restore the bells in the old church that has been turned into a library. Her competition is the on-line Grinch. This is a fun, holiday book.
All of my books are listed on my website. Quite a number of are available on KU.
Thank you, Zara for having me as a guest on your blog.
“One More Night”
In a Season for Love
By Judy Kentrus
Iris Simpson and Leif Nielson were best friends in high school. After graduation, they went their separate ways, but kept in touch and decided to meet every five years.
Fate isn’t always kind. Iris witnesses a murder and is whisked into witness protection. Her life hasn’t been her own for eighteen years. When she reads a notice about her 35th high school reunion, she decides she wants to go. Leif Neilson was her best friend, but in her heart, he was whole lot more. A recent life-changing diagnosis from her doctor greatly influences her decision. All she wants with Leif, is one more night, understanding the dangerous risks she’s taking.
Leif Neilson has always wondered what happened to his best friend Iris Simpson. The last letters he’d sent had been marked, “Return to Sender.” His daughter encourages him to attend his high school reunion. If she’s there, he wants to know why she cut him out of her life.
This is a page turning romantic suspense.

Judy – you always amaze me with all your stories you are able to put out. Congrats on this newest one. Here’s to many sales for the box set.
Thank you, Deb. Sometimes my crazy stories wake me up in the middle of the night.
Wow, that is quite the buildup for Leif and Iris! Irresistible! I don’t know when I’ll have time to read it, but I bought it for the TBR pile!
Hi Christa. Leif and Iris’ story was fun to write. They really deserved their happily ever after. You’ll enjoy all the stories in the anthology. Thanks for reaching out. Judy.
